Black Screen
OoPs
I know I know, you may be asking yourself this question. What is an Object of Power? Well, it may sound very complex, however, when you really think of it, it's simple. An Object of Power is an Object that can control or possibly manipulate your mind. Here is the first Object of Power.
Black Screen
Black Screen - Now you also may be wondering, how can a black screen take over my mind? Well, answer this question first. When you were a kid, were you afraid of the dark? You probably answered Yes. Well, that trait can even still carry on to adulthood, but what makes us afraid of the dark? Surprisingly enough, it's not the dark we're afraid of but rather the unknown possibilities that can emerge from the darkness or simply, what can come out from the dark. Knowing this makes our mind cautious of dark areas and makes us want to keep our eyes locked onto the dark.
Now, let's talk about the Black Screen. The Black Screen is, well, a black screen. There's nothing more to it but darkness. Remember what I told you earlier about our minds not knowing what can come from the dark and always keeping our eyes locked onto it? The same concept applies to the Black Screen, although it can be a little more different staring into a Black Screen rather than staring into a Darkroom. When you stare into a Darkroom, something can physically come out of that room and physically injure you, so you're 100% cautious about keeping your eyes locked onto that dark room. However, nothing can pop out of a Black Screen and injure you physically.
So you might be thinking, "Hey, I'm safe, nothing is going to happen to me, it's only a Black Screen." Which, as I said previously, it is. There's nothing more to it, however, half of your mind wants to pursue you to think that something will come out of that screen, but in reality, nothing will, however, you still will stare at the Black Screen regardless of half of your mind saying "Nothing is going to come out of that Black Screen" which is the correct part of your mind, and the other part of your mind saying "There will be something coming out of that Black Screen". It's like even though you know there will be nothing coming out from that Black Screen and you know you can look away and still be fine, but the other half of your mind is so paranoid about the darkness ever since you were a kid that it doesn't want you to take your eyes off any type of dark area, regardless of it being a room or simply a Black Screen. So your mind is stuck looking at this Black Screen for a certain amount of time (ranging anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours). Depending on how long you looked at the Black Screen for, the world around you may seem a little dizzy or the room may spin/move simply because you stared at the Black Screen for a certain amount of time. This makes the Black Screen considered an Object of Power.
