Emotions
Then there's sadness, unfortunately. An Example of sadness is when someone you love with all your heart suddenly dies. You feel this sense of hopelessness that stabs you right in your heart. It feels like you and your love split from each other and the world just comes crashing down onto you. It's a sad feeling of despair and loss of hope that feels like you're eternally fucked for the rest of your life. It may feel similar to an ongoing series of depression episodes if it gets so severe to that point.
Why do we want to show these emotions? For some people, emotions can be difficult to share, but they truly want to show them. They just may not know how to. Sharing emotions is not always easy for everyone, but there is a process. You need to know how comfortable you are with sharing that exact emotion, be it happiness, sadness, or a different emotion. Then you have to ask yourself if it'll make you feel better if you share it with them. Perhaps they may be feeling the same thing you are, and they may be able to relate to you. If this happens, it is a very good thing, since it can make you feel even happier when you're happy or it can show you that you're not alone in this fight of despair when you're sad.
Emotions are like relationships. I talked about relationships in my previous blog saying they're complex and emotions are no different. Emotions carry different meanings and messages. You may convey these emotions in a very expressional way to other people, or may stay reserved to yourself. Regardless of how you convey these emotions, it doesn't make you more or less emotional as a person. It's just your true way of expressing them, be it to others or to yourself. In the end, we're all people and we all felt something at some point in our lives, be it happiness, or sadness.
